DESCENT OF THE PICANOC RIVER
The Picanoc River descent has quickly become a must-do activity for CarpeDiem Adventures. The Picanoc River is lined with beaches. It's a very calm, winding river with a gentle current that carries you to the final destination. Here are some of the features:
Logistics
The CarpeDiem team meets clients at the final destination determined during booking. Clients then park their vehicles and board the shuttle to the starting point, also determined during booking. After the descent, clients leave their boats at the arrival point, call us, and are ready to go.
3 possible departure times
5 km: Half-day recommended (2 hours): Departure: 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, or 12:00 PM
10 km: Full day recommended (4 hours): Departure: 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM
15 km: Full day recommended (6 hours): Departure: Maximum 10:00 AM **** (There is a small rapid at km 10. The rapid is easy but can be portaged). **** For the 15 km trip: Clients must return to the starting point no later than 5:00 PM. A late fee of $1 per minute will be charged for late groups.

Prices: Prices are per person, not per craft. (Example: Adult 5 km single kayak or paddleboard $45, canoe and kayak) Double $90).

***Although the 10 km course is shorter than the 15 km course, the price is the same because the shuttle is the same distance as for the 15 km course.

Personal boat shuttle upon request (minimum 4 people)
It is possible to have a personal boat shuttle available. 9:45 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. (or according to the schedule available that day). A minimum of 4 boats is required; otherwise, additional fees will apply.
